Youth Gambling Awareness Project (YGAP)
Our Youth Gambling Awareness Programme is designed to help young people understand the risks associated with gambling. We do this from a non-judgmental, harm-prevention and minimisation standpoint. We are aware that many young people gamble, while still underage. In fact, recent research compiled for us by students at Trinity College Dublin, found that 67% of the secondary school students they interviewed (aged 15-18) had already tried gambling.
The talks are delivered by Tony O'Reilly, co-author of 'Tony10' and fully-qualified addiction counsellor. We can deliver either in-person or by webinar. The YGAP Programme consists of a workshop delivered by a facilitator with training in the area of gambling harm-prevention.
